Trista King

Trista King RN, BSN was born and raised in the small town of Bedford, Pennsylvania and became a resident of Morgantown, WV in 2014 to further career opportunities with her spouse- Steven. After becoming acquainted with the area, they decided to start a family and call Morgantown home. Both Trista and Steven extensively volunteered at the Academy before the school opened and they continue to serve on West Virginia Academy’s Advisory Committee of Families.  

Trista earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Nursing at Fairmont State University. She has a very strong background in healthcare, leadership, quality coordination, and population health, which allows for her to work with a very diverse population. In addition, Trista’s Nursing background requires high level critical thinking skills to assess, identify, and evaluate situations and circumstances while keeping in mind short term and long term goals. Her experience in leadership and quality coordination led to a position in Nursing Education, where her passion now lays. Trista joined West Virginia Academy’s Governing Board to share her passion of excellence in academics, education, communication, and leadership which directly aligns with West Virginia Academy. She currently serves the organization as the Governing Board Secretary and her Daughter joined West Virginia Academy’s first Kindergarten Class.
