Melissa Brown

Melissa Brown, CHC, APS, MBA graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She has worked for the WVU Health System since 2012. During this time, she became a Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) Specialist and graduated from the Pivotal Leadership Academy, where she learned critical skills in managing and leading those in her department. Currently, she oversees the internal audit of the WVU Health System to determine compliance with applicable regulations. She also coordinates educational activities to ensure compliance and internal auditing of education needs are being met.
Melissa has also served as a leader in the American Heritage Girls Organization for over seven (7) years. As a leader, she serves as a role model, mentor and teacher of girls ages 5 to 18. Her responsibilities also included planning and organizing various community service activities, leadership opportunities, and annual camp programs and activities. Melissa has a child that currently attends West Virginia Academy.
