Carolyn Sharette

Carolyn Sharette is the Executive Director of American Preparatory Schools (APA) in Utah. She played a pivotal role in establishing the APA, which began in 2002 with a group of dedicated parents who envisioned a school that would help students flourish and become well-informed citizens. Over the years, APA has grown to serve more than 5,000 students across six campuses in Utah. The schools focus on rigorous academics, virtuous character development, and college preparation. Under Carolyn’s leadership APA has expanded beyond Utah to include Nevada and internationally establishing a school in Zambia, Africa.  She brings more than twenty years of charter experience to the WVA board and has been generous in providing curriculum, training, and other crucial guidance for West Virginia Academy’s success.
