West Virginia Academy plans to open its student enrollment application process at 9am (ET) on February 15, 2022. The academy will also release job postings this same day for teaching, staff, and administrative positions. A brief informational session and Q&A will be held that evening at 7pm via zoom. Student applicant families and pre-registrants should RSVP for the informational session by emailing info@westvirginiaacademy.org to receive an invite to the session.
These processes are being conducted approximately one month later than originally anticipated as a result of delays arising from two lawsuits filed in Kanawha County by special interest groups. Our organization continues to believe these lawsuits lack any merit and we look forward to the charter law being upheld by the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. We want to express our appreciation for the patience of the hundreds of families who support our school and organization and we look forward to the wait for school choice in West Virginia being over soon.
