Prof. Cooper is one of our AMAZING Kindergarten teachers at West Virginia Academy. She has a passion for reading; and frequently goes above and beyond in providing innovative experiences for her students, especially on Fridays.
Ashlee Cooper has her bachelor’s in psychology and elementary education from Fairmont State University. She briefly worked as a youth counselor where she helped tutor youth with their schoolwork and instilled an importance of attendance in the classroom. She transitioned into teaching a few years later where she worked for years with both the younger and older students. While teaching, she became a reading interventionist. Here she worked with specific children who had been identified as needing more literacy training and designed interventions tailored to meet each child’s needs.
Ashlee continues to design curriculum and interventions to help meet our scholar's needs at West Virginia Academy.
